DPW crews prepare for more water main breaks

With winter right around the corner, and the bitter cold that can come with it, Baltimore Department of Public Works crews are bracing for more water main breaks. A water main broke Wednesday on Washington Boulevard, impacting residents and businesses in Halethorpe. A couple of miles away in Arbutus, a 20-inch main broke, raising questions about the winter to come.
