Welcome, gamers. The new game, codenamed The Witcher: Polaris, was quickly labeled The Witcher 4 by the media. To clear up the confusion, CDPR's PR Director Radek Grabowski explained that the game won’t be called The Witcher 4. He also clarified that it will be the first part of a new Witcher saga consisting of three installments. As for the release date, while both the media and fans (myself included) have adopted the name Witcher 4, there's no official release date yet. Back in 2022, Adam Kiciński mentioned that the game wouldn’t be out for at least three years, meaning it would release no sooner than 2025.
