Показать описание
Feeling good about yourself is probably one of the best ways, if not already the best way, to boost your confidence. You HAVE to be clean up, be fresh, wear that dapper fabric, and the swag naturally comes your way.
List of Great Dupes
Okay so, a product dupe is something that does the same thing or gives the same effect compared to a more expensive one. As a general tip, it’s great to look for some of these when looking for good dupes: ingredients, composition, and use. Be on the lookout for those products that essentially do the same thing as those famous brands that you usually see on TV. Anyway, let’s get into the list of budget friendly grooming essentials.
Facial Cleanser
The first thing to consider is a good facial wash to keep your skin in good condition. Wash away the day’s dirt, water alone won’t cut it. When buying facial wash, you should consider your skin type. Do you have sensitive or oily skin? Stuff like that. I’ll be showing you some budget-friendly products for both. I got you, bro.
FOR OILY SKIN: Clinique for Men Oil Control Face Wash || Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths
The Clinique Face Wash contains aloe and salicylic acid which make it great especially for oily skin because these ingredients help fight bacteria and unclog pores. However, it’s quite pricey. One tube costs $23. On the other hand, the Cetaphil Cleansing Cloth just cost a little less than $7 and it essentially has the same effect. It contains glycerin and aloe which moisturizes and soothes the skin as you clean it. You see, checking the ingredients is key here and if you’re on a tight budget, Cetaphil has been around for decades for good reason.
FOR SENSITIVE SKIN: Anthony Algae Facial Cleanser || Bulldog Skincare Sensitive Face Wash
Both of these products address the problem of sensitive skin. However, one costs $36 while the other costs around $10.
Hair Styling Cream
Men, you know it. Barbers are our life force. You know what, I just saw a comment on TikTok the other day that said, “haircut is the makeup for men”, and while I chuckled, I couldn’t agree more. But, just a haircut alone is not enough, we should also invest in styling products to maintain it. Finding a good barber is one thing, finding a great styling cream is another.
Some guys find waxes and pomades too thick, so let’s stick with cream for today. MALIN+GOETZ Sage Styling Cream is the perfect cream for beginners and it just costs $8 an ounce! I think that if you’re just starting out, this is a great dupe to more expensive brands. It essentially does the same thing as the ORIBE Crème for Style which as they say is the gold standard for hair styling products, but at the cost of gold too. It’s around $18 for 1.7 fluid ounces.
PERSONAL FAVORITES
Now let’s move on to my personal favorite products. Here are my essentials, and they all cost no more than $10.
Sunscreen: BARE REPUBLIC Clearscreen Sunscreen SPF 30
This sunscreen protects you from the sun and it’s packed with antioxidants and skin-hydrating ingredients. I like that it’s a multi-purpose product and just costs around $10.
Body Wash: Ogx Coconut Coffee Body Wash
This body wash leaves your skin supple and keeps you feeling fresh and moisturized. I swear by it and if you’ve been following me on TikTok, I made a video about this too. All these goodness in just under $6.
Anti-Perspirant: Arm & Hammer Ultramax Antiperspirant Deodorant, Unscented
I personally prefer an unscented deodorant because I don’t want the strong scent of it to mix with my perfume which is why I opted for this one. It does its job of fighting unwanted odor and it’s just around $7.
CONCLUSION
Taking care of ourselves reflects in the way we show up to the world. It also greatly affects how we feel about ourselves. Trust me, investing in essential grooming products will do a lot for your confidence.
