An old man usually resorts to disposable razors to achieve a neat, close shave. As you get older, your skin becomes less elastic, thinner, drier, and can be bruised easily.

Even if you don’t suffer from underlying health issues (like diabetes) that aggravate skin infection, you’ll eventually crave a safer approach to shaving.

Unlike manual razors, electric razors don’t require you to shave against the grain, which often results in scarring in the neck area, the worst injury for our seasoned old men.

Not all electric shavers are destined to cope with the grey hair, wrinkles, and delicate skin that our senior citizens have. Consequently, we embarked on a journey to compile a list where you’ll find your best option for you or for your loved ones.

So I have just laid out the top 5 best electric razor for elderly skin:

In 5th place is the Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s - Budget Pick.

In 4th place is the Panasonic Arc 5 ES-LV95-S - for a close shave with sensitive skin.

In 3rd place is the Philips Norelco 9721/89 - Best Rotary trimmer for seniors.

In 2nd place is the Braun Series 7 Series 790cc - Best Electric Shaver for Loose Skin.

In 1st place is the Braun Series 9 9370cc - Premium Choice.

Did you notice the age of the men you used in this video. Just saying.

You start out saying Braun series 3 is best and end up with Braun series 9 at best. Do you know what you are talking about?

Braun Series 9 is The latest and Technologically seems to be a more advanced Shaver. But I Own Braun S 7 and have been using it since last Over Seven years . I found this one more efficient, easy to operate and maintain. The foil head is easily available and Conveniently replaceable. This one is very durable and has given me no trouble in such a long period of use. Shaver S9 is already in my C ollection as a standby, but I think I Should replace S7 with a Brand New S7 when it is the time to change.

Just for the record: My son (41) talked me (69) into trying old-fashioned razor blades, perferab;y the best on the market. And? I love it! I never really liked electric and dry shaving, it is a plan 'B', if In have to go out in the evening and want to get rid of the five o' clock shadow. Nothing beats a good wet shave.

I'm 70 with peripheral neuropathy and have used a lot of different shavers after I couldn't use a razor. The Braun Series 9 is the best I've bought and provides the closest shave ever, The cleaning station works great. Pricey, but worth it.

I always had a issue with inflamed skin with electric shavers, even using the balm to raise my bristles & cooling creams after,
I’ve been wet shaving for nigh on 53 years now without any problems, but because my skin is 71 years old & my eyesight is fading I find it very difficult to get a decent shave without missing the bits where the wrinkles are..
So looking to try out a foil razor as from what I see they’re completely different to what ancient contraptions I used to use…
I’d grow a beard but my younger wife is against it lol 😂

The Braun is very good, I had one however, nothing beats a double edge safety razor with your blade of choice such as Astra or Feather coupled to Proraso shave cream.

How old is the first guy? He has nice skin. A beautiful face.

My Braun Series 7 will not give a close shave even with a NEW shave cartridge no matter how many times I go back and fourth the Low Costs Schick throw away razor gives a very close shave and lasts for 30 or more days, no joke it beats the 3 times more expensive razors with replaceable cartridges hands down in my opinion! I am 82 years old and my skin is fine and is not sensitive?

The Braun 9 head is too big. It's like rubbing a child's fist over your face. It's much bigger than my previous Braun but the foils are actually smaller! The head has worn out sooner than expected with holes appearing at the ends of both foils. You cannot buy new foils, you have to purchase a whole new head which will cost you over $50. One outlet wanted $124! You pay a few hundred for this razor and it doesn't even come with a protective clip on plastic cap for the head. Something I used all the time on my old razor. I have never found the need to shave
in the shower so the feature that doesn't allow you to shave with the razor plugged in, I find a negative. Previously when the battery died on my razor I was able to plug it in and get a shave. With the 9 you have to wait for it to charge before getting that shave, making you late for work or
turning up to that wedding with stubble on your chin. The only thing I like about this model is I can get a months use out of one charge so don't need to take the charger when I go traveling. I've seen a few YouTube videos on this model and there seems a different consensus on which way round the head goes on. There is nothing on the head itself to indicate which side should face the control panel.

The real shaving problem for elderly men is the prominent cording and loose skin on the neck. It is extremely difficult to move the razor over the steep “hills and valleys.” This was not addresses in the video. I suspect there is no good solution. I have been searching everywhere. Does anyone have an idea?

Are old men's beards somehow different than younger men's beards?

I just purchased a 'recommended' close shaver. Got a good deal for only $119.00. Doesn't shave for beans, wasted dollars. Buyer beware.

xo why does this only show young men ???

This is just not true. This is a good electric razor but it's greatly over priced. There are sever better and cheaper. The Braun has only a 1hr battery. One great electric razor is the Babyliss FX3 razor that shaves closer with no razor burn and has a 3hr saying

I thought this video was about razors for ELDERLY MEN, but all the models using the razors are YOUNG MEN, seems hypocritical to me. I didn't see one elderly man in this whole video yet it is claimed to be for elderly men & I suppose you want us elderly men to buy these razors, sorry, but I won't be one of them, maybe a younger man will take my place instead as the video is aimed at them. As I have read many of the other comments I am not the only man to notice this, some have even bought a recommended razor & been disappointed with it, so I guess it really is for the YOUNG MAN & not the ELDERLY MAN as the title suggests. These razors work on young, smooth faces but not on old, wrinkled faces as the title suggests.

No elderly men shown, so I can't accept any of these results.

Why is it that all these reviews about best razor for elderly men, never show an elderly man using the razor. If you are going to claim the razor is the best for elderly men you should at least show a man in their 70's or 80's using the razor. These reviews are a joke.
