Excellent flashlight review! This particular model has some really cool features. I especially like the heatsink on the front of it to help disperse the temperature. The threads in the tail are also a nice perk. As always, I love the camera work that you do on your reviews. Thanks a bunch!

You did not demonstrate the lockout mode: Hold both buttons down a few seconds until you see one flash-you are now in lockout mode so the light cannot be accidentally turned on in your pocket.... You also did not go into the mode where the power button will flash for a millisecond every 2 seconds or so. This enables you to have the flashlight in a pitch black room and you always know where this flamethrower is. It can stay in that mode for days I'm guessing because it draws like no juice. I have many flashlights from many different manufacturers and I must say this at the moment is my favorite one! It's for bright that you will not believe it. It's both a flood and a thrower. Nite core makes a top quality product from top to bottom. I would love to rep for them. I could sell the hell out of this product. No matter what Nite Core you decide to get you can be confident it will be fantastic quality and produce the lumens that it says it will...Unlike all of those cheap Chinese junk lights

I've been into flashlights for about 5 years now and this is my favorite light. I take this with me on my bike rides in the event that I'm riding for more than 8 hours and my Serfas True-1500 battery dies (not likely). This is an amazing light for the price. Using good batteries in this light, you can really get some long runtimes out of it. I also took it to a park at night and I could see as far as the park went in every direction. The construction is also awesome. Most of my other lights will get pretty hot, but they must have really done the thermal analysis on this one. Even on the highest setting, it does not get hot. In my opinion, this is a 10/10 light. Not only can it tailstand, but you can also use it on a tripod!

Just ordered one from the Nitecore official English distributor, i do hope it lives up to my expectations, if it does itll be well worth the £153.80 i paid.!! Thats 2 x batteries, a charger and the flashlight. Its cheaper on ebay but i dont trust some of these Chinese websites.

Have you reviewed KLARUS RS30 and what is your opinion over the Nitecore EC4S ? Thank you.

Thrunite Now has TN 42 CREE XHP70 HI LEDs with an ultra-long distance of 1550 meters.

Now Nitecore TM16GT is lagging behind again. Just when can the New Nitecore TM16GTX extreme Diving Edition with 4 pc CREE XHP70 HI LEDs with 1600 meters plus plus Throw range come? Thrunite has 1550m throw range but Nitecore do not have. Why? Just When you can release your New product!

Good video, I'll have to check out your others. Just picked this flashlight up, batteries are charging now. I WAS going to get the P36 instead because of the rotary mode control, but I'm glad I got the EC4S instead. Controls are totally logical and easy to remember. Best of all, it remembers the last setting and keeps turning on to the same brightness until you change it. That was one thing that irritated me about other flashlights: Cycling through the different modes each time. You don't know what brightness it's going to come on to next unless you remember which one it was last. Love this one so far and was playing with it using the CR123's from another light. Actually, the 400 lumen setting is fine for me in most cases. Almost blinded myself showing it to my son... took about 10 minutes for my sight to recover! Lol.

They make it so you can only use Nitecore 18650's by raising the Positive ends of there batteries so a regular 18650 won't work! I fixed this by adding washers to both positive terminals! now any 18650 will work

Thanks for the awesome Review! I guess I have to have this flashlight. I have the MH20 and it`s my favorite flashlight so far. The brightest I own is the 2000 lumen TM11 which is awesome, but seems a bit clunky now compared to the EC4S.

I own this light. Very practical flashlight. I work at a science facility that requires a lab coat to be worn. The skinny shape makes it easy to wear under the lab coat. It's also easy to hold in your arm pit. I got a combo with the highest capacity nitecore batteries. I really don't keep track of the charge level, I just charge it sometimes. I have never ran out of power. Level 4 (high) is my default setting.

Thanks for the review! I'm interested in this model but am trying to understand the distances such torches indicate in their specifications. I'm looking for high lumins but with something which puts out a long-distance beam. In your experience, does the beam this torch puts out extend far enough? The footage you posted shows that it does go some distance but is also spread out.

Good review. I'm guessing it's not rechargeable???? In this day and age, I'm not sure why any company would even consider making a high end flashlight that's not rechargeable. Keep up the great work.

One more thing. Yes I am aware that Nite Core lights are made in China. But the quality is fantastic. Remember where the iPhone is made...
