My chain smoking music teacher was a former Stuka pilot and if we finished our class early he would let us ask questions and told stories. Good and bad. Sometimes his face became vacant for just a glimpse and I could see his internal struggle to free himself from the gripp of horrible memories. We caught on fast enough when we came too close in questions and locations. There was an abyss in his mind and memory of about 3 weeks in a certain area in Europe. His "Do not enter", access denied zone. He was an ever so grand teacher with a soft and caring heart.

i prefer british names for ships, they are either ironically cute, like the flowers or the cats, or they are badass like warspite or indefatigable. but no name stands as a greater terror to the worlds navies as Drachinifel the sea lord.

The idea of smole torpedo boats carried by major ships is something I have been curious about for a while, always wondered if anyone had done so. I have a feeling this might become more common in the future, carrying unmanned attack/scouting boats with you.

Wholy moley! Last time I was this early to a Drachinifel "5 minute guide", the Spanish Armada was sailing into battle but got pushed North by "bad winds" and damaged by storms during it's retreat... (circa 1588).
