Wow, what I really like is the written lines because we African we like to listen than reading music. i play saxophone and I learnt by reading music. As a music teacher I like my students to read music as well as listening. Voila!!! Well done!!!

What no breakneck speed? Just beautiful *bass* playing? Count me in. I could listen to this all day--this, to me, is the real art of bass playing--in the pocket, warm, and impossible to play if you don't have groove in your soul. And all those materials you make available here? This is such a gift. Thanks so much!!

I was born in Britain to Jamaican parents, in 1968 my older brother came from Jamaica singing Jamaican songs. We weren’t allowed such music in our strict Christian household, but when I left home I could reconnect with the Studio one, Trojan records, Rock steady. Toots and the Maytals and all that good stuff. I needed to hear and reconnect. Thank God for you as well !

UB40 was so recognizable. I don't play any instrument well, jus a bit, but bass is one of my favourites especially reggae basslines. I found basslines of Gregory Isaac's music so very recognizable and i love it!

Brilliant! The most seamless bass tutorial I've listened to. I'm an ancient bass player who has only recently learned to appreciate reggae.

Dear Don, what to say first? The video alone is a blessing for all of us bass newbies, cause good reggae bass videos are rare still. Downloadable tabs? Thank you even more! Downloadable BACKING TRACKS W/OUT bass...? This kind of generosity is hard to find. Riddim Up indeed. Will stay locked in my cellar tonight! Thank you from Germany!

You are the real deal my friend! I'd love to see a video on bass tone (amp eq settings) and effects (compression, mutes) to get your sound.

The closest a human can ever be to being as comfortable as a cat is to listen to those baselines.
