2017 Civic Type R: Custom Carbon Fiber Hood

One of the biggest improvements to the FK8 cooling system can be achieved by venting the hood. In stock form, the upper vent does little to help air escape, instead, it channels it through the fenders. As a preventative measure, I swap out the stock hood for a second-hand carbon hood that I cut up and add in some extra vents for added cooling. Nevermind the finish of the carbon, we will scale the vinyl and have it covered to match the rest of our wrap.

It looks like it will hold up nicely. The vents came out pretty cool stoked to see it with the livery. You got more patience than I would have with removing that vinyl. She’s gonna look aggressive on the track.
