My love for Japanese made instruments resulted in finding this gem from @SchecterGuitarTV Japan. I realize this guitar cannot be purchased new in the United States and is for Japan's Domestic Market only for very obvious reasons, but perhaps there are some minor changes that could see a variation of these find their way into US players hands because man... it is AWESOME. For today's demo I did use the @tonekingamps Falcon Grande and the @BrowneAmplification protein.

As someone who also owns a shop order Schecter guitar, welcome to the club. The Japanese schecters blow the doors off the Diamond series schecters. There are some absolute steals on the used market in Japan. And luckily schecter Japan makes guitars for every genre. My personal ambition is a custom shop MIJ schecter. Also these guitars are made/finished in the same factory as ESP guitars.

What a great find! Love how the look and how you sounded. You need to start photographing these guitars. You’ve made some really great finds over the years. Would be great for a book or other merch.

I like that first chord progression you played starting with an E, really cool. I've had a Schecter Tele style guitar for 11 years now and I like it as much as the USA Fenders i have. It's the PT model fashioned after the tele's Townshend was playing on the Who's 1982 tour, my first concert. His had a Fender style head stock too which mystified me at the time. Then I found out later that Schecter had a license to make Fender parts for a few years in the 80's. Mine of course just has the beak style head stock but in every other aspect it looks like a Fender, except it is heavier and has humbuckers in it. I agree with you, Schecter needs to get on board and start selling models similar to the one you just tested out, over here. They would certainly be popular.

That bridge is such a bonus to a great instrument, I live in Thailand & a few guitars make the journey here from Japan that aren't mainstream & just carried in by Thai guys coming back from their factory job. I tend to look out for '62 Tele customs but I think Uncle larry just hiked the prices up...

Wow. Very cool. Seems so odd that these wouldn't be a regular run. Sounds killer too. You seemed to have some fun playing it.

That's a frickin beauty! Great score. I had a Schecter for a few days once. I got it for a trade and had to go through with the trade. I ended up trading into a sweet Fender tube amp, but that Schecter is one guitar that I wish I still had. Yours is seriously sweet.

What an awesome guitar! As a side note, I love that style of tuning peg too - the small white heads look so cool (just a small visual thing but I love that, love it on Gibson Specials when they've had them too). Guitar looks and sounds awesome and seems fun to play, light as a feather - nothing to not like really! Also that combo of cream and white shouldn't work at all for me, but found it somehow looked cool during the playing clips/didn't annoy me like I would assume if i'd just been told that was what it would look like if that makes sense lol. Yeah, all round looks like a really cool, fun, reliable, head-turning instrument thats a blast to play - top stuff and great video as ever!

This looks and sounds fantastic. I played a les paul special in the tv yellow a few weeks ago in a GC. I liked it but didn't love it. I wanted to love it. I would love to see any other color offerings they have that are out there in the world somewhere.

Very Cool Jim - Nice find! It suits your vibe 😎👌
You're totally right on the creme/white mismatch though...
That kind of thing bothers me way more than it should 🙈
Easy fix though 😀👍

I love Japanese made guitars, but that one isn't great because its Japanese, its great because its a Schecter. Every Schecter ive ever put my hands on has been phenomenal! I have a Korean made C1 Helraiser Hybrid and its one of the best made, best fit n finish guitars ive ever held. When i was younger i fell in love with a salmon metallic Schecter Strat, with a mirror pickguard and it was one of the greatest Strats ive ever experienced. Schecter makes EXCELLENT instruments period.

Wow that bridge seems to be a better fixed bridge than a tune o matic

I love this guitar! With Color and all. I have always loved the P90s Sound. If I want a guitar with those specs, I guess I would have to call Schecter here and speak to someone in their Custom Shop. I would think they can design this guitar but being a Custom Shop made it would be KA-CHING!!! $$$..LOL....Can I email the Japanese company that made it? I'm sure they would have a custom shop place. Thank you for posting this.

I know Jim might disagree but i love the white and cream in fact as far as appearance this guitar is perfection for my taste and it sounds damn good! I did a custom guitar in Seafoam green, made sure to order cream pups and white knobs lol, i totally get the original owners taste!

I liked the jam you played before highlighting the different pickups. I lost my dog today, and for whatever reason, your tunes picked me up a bit. Thanks for the video, brother.

Great to see that you have discovered Schecter's Japan only range of guitars.
It's frustrating that these are only available as a personal import even here in the UK
Which makes no sense, other brands such as Ibanez and even Fender sell made in Japan
models.
I now prefer the Japanese models over the ones made elsewhere.
Enjoy this one Jim.🙂👍
