MT82 vs 6R80 - 3.7L V6 Mustang 0-80 w 2.73 Gears

1st Run captures at 60mph, second run captures at 80mph. Last run is slowed down to 3/4 speed for a better observation.

Both are on stock tune.
Manual has Axlebacks and a cold air intake (w/out tune it does nothing)

I know for a fact from personal experience the axlebacks and intake will not make a difference of 2mph during the 1/4 or 1/8th mile. Ported Intakes don't even gain that much.

Let it be noted - These runs were matched down to 1/30 of a frame per second on launch time to make sure it was even. They were lined up so that both of thespeedometers had starting movement in the same exact frame.

Okay can I be cocky with 2.73s or should I still pick my battles? I do have a tune, cai, xpipe, and axel backs.

Curious to know what the difference would be just with a tune

I feel like the manual pulled harder towards the top of 2nd gear, and this is directly because the trans gearing is a little shorter for the mt82 and it also makes slightly more HP due to less drivetrain loss.

Can you do a video of 2.73 gears vs the 3.73's? Can't find one anywhere

The automatic is a premium so its heaver also the auto has 3/4 of a tank and the manual 1/4 weight does a lot when we’re trying to be fast

I know this is off topic but I would love some input because I’m trying to decide what type of exhaust I want. Don’t get me wrong the stock one sounds ok but I think it’s time to amp it up. I have a 2014 v6 mustang and I’m trying to decide between the borla s Type or the ATAK. I want something loud but not something that’s going to drone the whole time and make me regret my decision.

Launches the manual from 3k and the auto from 1.5k... of course it's faster.
