Dota 2 Hero Spotlight - Naix the Lifestealer

Stay away from Lifestealer, he will steal your life.

Changes to Lifestealer have been made since this video was released. This list will contain those changes (not including number changes, since they are very frequent)

Feast: Now deals damage based on the target's maximum health instead of its current health.

Infest: If the infested unit is a neutral or enemy creep he can now use the ability Control while inside.

Control: Allows you to take full control of the creep, including attacking and using that creeps spells. If you jump out of the creep in this state you will not get the gold or xp you normally get.

Aghanim's Scepter: Can now be purchased on the hero. This will give the ability Assimilate.

Assimilate: Can be used on allied heroes. Doing this will swallow that hero, allowing it to hide inside Lifestealer. If Lifestealer makes that hero leave, they will damage all nearby enemies. Any healing Lifestealer recieves (from feast for example) will heal the hero inside of him.

watching these as an LoL player is eye-opening. a game can be very interesting, and remain balanced just as long as EVERYONE is op.

Basically, the goal is to last hit enemy creeps to get gold and experience. If you kill a friendly creep by getting the last hit, the enemy heroes nearby do not get gold (obviously), and get less experience from it.

Naix is very useful for farming due to his infest. You could easily regain some of your health and you even don't need to buy a healing salve anymore.

@jsbcomp You guys are totally right. I remember the correct build and agil gain for a version of a hero from 4 years ago, but the TRUE test is whether you get the name of a common item no one pays attention to correct.

@Gustave154 Because Hero Pool is a big part of the strategy and balance. That's the main reason Antimage is deemed OP in the Beta, since most of his natural counters (OD, Eradar, etc.) aren't implemented yet.

Did anyone notice that lifestealer was not stealing life with feast on sven when the example "With Feast" was shown?
