I love my 7.1. I currently run Shure V15 Type Vxmr and use the Project Speed Box II. Silent background and rock solid speed control,

Thanks for the feedback. I have several other integrated amps (Sansui, Marantz) but like this combination with the SX-1080; I also run the MMF 7.1 through a restored pair of JBL L50s, Pioneer HPM 100s and a set of Dynaco A25s.

Very nice. Goldring 2400 will be next cartridge for my Pro-Ject 2 Xperience.

Congrats on getting your first tablre. This deck is completely manual including speed adjustment. Because it's manual, I only use the 7.1 for active listening (read: sitting in front of it) so I can return the tonearm and shut the power off when the album is over. If you want to passively listen to music while you're reading, sorting your record collection, eating dinner, falling asleep etc., you may want to consider a semi-automatic table that will shut itself off. Good luck!

So, what happened to the Marantz receiver and the Technics SP-10? I thought the Marantz and Technics turntable were keepers for life. Either way George Benson sounded good.

I believe the 7.1 is probably the best choice but I probably won't crack the $1, 000 mark. 5.1 is smooth enough. .2.2 are just record players w/ non detachable RCAs. Was it comlex to setup?
