Now THIS is interesting. A looong warm-up intro that makes you expect Nutini to switch on to his intense gear. And it happens. The band also gives some very modern, almost progressive rock type of playing, with electronic elements. Indentifiable as Nutini material, but fresh and exciting too. The soulful raspiness is there, but in a new sonic landscape. Can't wait to hear more.

Wow, I watched Later with Jools Holland at the weekend and having seen this song played live by Paolo Nutini ( who I hadn’t heard of before) I was so impressed with it, that I looked him up on YouTube and consequently, spent most of Sunday discovering his back catalogue, what a revalation that was.
I grew up in the 60s, with ALL, of the fantastic sounds that were on the airwaves and on our TV screens, my older sister, got to see many of the bands live, at a local venue, I couldn’t wait to see her the next day, to ask her about it all. In the late 60s, as a teenager, I got to dance to Motown and Staxx plus other hits that were in the charts, including psychedelic songs from UK greats, who went on to create some of the most incredible albums during the so called Golden era of the 70s. By that time I was working and could go and see these bands play their music, spent my wages on albums and concert tickets, plus a few substances like dope, acid etc, which all enhances the experience of listening to good music. The young generation, from those times are so blessed, we were there when, it came to us first hand and now we can see it all again, here on YouTube, just blessed. No matter how old you are, music keeps you young at heart and during your darkest days, can make life worth living.
I am really glad, to have discovered the incredible talent of Paolo Nutini, a humble chap, with an ear and feel for great music and song writing.
Love the new album.

I just love how he absolutely loses it for a little while from 3:36 to 4:36.

This song is an absolute masterpiece, and this live version here is even better than the album version!

I am a longtime fan of Paolo. Yet, I imagine that being a professional musician can take its toll on a person. Therefore I was actually glad when he took a break, because I assumed that he needed it and I hoped that this would be the best for him as a person. Now I am even happier to see that he's back and better than ever. I hope he is doing well.

Just watched a video with you and Ed Sheeran. No disrespect to him, I have never watched one of his videos. I only watched it because you were on it. Please keep blessing the world with your voice, it's World Class!
