Threaded Inserts For Wood – Installation & 2 Uses examples for Detachable Wooden Parts | Insert Nuts

Threaded inserts are usually being used to connect wooden parts which should be removable. If you use regular wood screws and you'll remove them few times, the hole in the wood will get larger and the connection will be loose.
With threaded inserts, you can install and remove the screws many times and keep it tight.
There are different types of threaded inserts, but the installation idea is usually the same.

I've never seen a jigsaw table before. Is this like a table saw but you can just use tools you already have?

Does the insert length matter? Meaning do I need a longer insert (depending on wood/joint) to make sure the connection is strong? Or can i use this insert size with any length screw as long as my pilot hole is the correct length.

My superking size ottoman bed use 120kg pressure pistons . Recently when closing the bed, the hinges from one side ripped off from the frame .
They were using exactly the same nuts.
I'm thinking how to fix it now.
Maybe need to get a metal 1mm plate going along the ripped area, connect it higher up the frame and screw it back it to original position to the metal plate
