Christian von Koenigsegg have German heritage. The von Koenigsegg family originates from a German nobility family.
The von Koenigsegg family originates from Ravensburg in today's Baden-Württemberg in Germany and has been known since 1171. The company's logo is the Von Koenigsegg Heraldic crest.

Königsegg
(Königsegg the modern spelling of Koenigsegg)
was a state in the southeastern part of what is now Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It emerged in 1192 as a lordship and was raised to a barony in 1470. It was partitioned in 1622 between itself, Königsegg-Aulendorf and Königsegg-Rothenfels.
In 1629, Königsegg was raised to an imperial estate and became a member of the College of the Counts of Swabia at the Reichstag. With the extinction of its male line in 1663, it was inherited by Königsegg-Aulendorf.

In 1804, Königsegg sold Rothenfels to Austria. In 1806, the Rheinbundakte mediatized Königsegg to the Kingdom of Württemberg. Today, the Counts of Königsegg still reside at Königseggwald Castle in Swabia and at Halbturn Castle in Austria.

The state Königsegg's Coat of arms is a part of the Koenigsegg logo and the von Koenigsegg family crest.

Hello, as a person who loves in the city of Ängelholm, where Koenigsegg is manufactured/founded I will have to correct you and let you know It is not pronounced with an "O" in Koen. Its pronounced königsegg, with an "Ö" wich is a swedish alphabetic character! I'm not 100% sure ofcourse, but, everyome here pronounce it this way.

The reason why they have the logo is their base of operations is on the airstrip which was home to the ghost squadron you mentioned so it’s a tribute to the squadron since the home of the squadron is where the cars are produced

It is par of the deal. The place OG koeniggsegg was produced burned down. The state gave them place to continue, but condition was that on every car should bear a symbol of the Ghost squadron.

For those who have a low attention span or don’t feel like watching the video: They got the logo from the airbase they use to build their cars, as it was used before in the military planes

They are the "ghost squadron" for a reason. Also, the ghost is most of the time in top of the engine cover (hood) since he didn't show it.
