I lost my phone. I had google authenticator set-up on a website that protected an investment I had. When I go to sign in it requires a 2-step verification code. Is there anyway I can still have it generate a code for me from my new phone? Help... my investment is at stake 🤯

I have changed my phone #, don't have backup codes and can't get Google Authenticator to work on my new Iphone. It keeps asking me to scan or enter a bar code manually. I am logged in on my computer to my google account but in order to make changes it requires a GA code. Is there any solution to get GA loaded on my new phone#?

got a new phone, cant find help anywhere with google, and i have no authentication codes prompting. I have no access to several accounts that you need authentication to log in with and they have no way of contacting them without logging into your account. In other words, because i cant get my OLD authentication codes to show up linked to those accounts; I cannot access those accounts without logging in, but this is a circle

This seems to only work with a standard Gmail account but not with my Google apps account? Or am I missing something here???

Question please; if you follow this process and "change phone" does it still keep the records for all the other websites you have 2sa with or just google account 2sa?

If your phone lost or crash, how are you going to login your gmail on your computer dear.???? It was earlier protected by Googel Authenticator (GA) on your stolen/crash phone.

My other question, in order to prevent the difficulty of recovery the old GA, how in the first place to do backup of your GA during your initial setup.

One thing is still not clear to me. 🤔
1) So, on the video, your Google account is secured by Google Authenticator, right?
2) And you pretend as if you had lost your phone, so you don't have your Google Authenticator then, right?
3) AND! At your home PC, you had logged in earlier to your Google Account, therefore it did not ask your code again, because it kept you logged in, right?
4) So, you went to your Google authentication settings and it asked your password again, but it did not asked your authentication code as well? Did I understand correctly? 😮

So, I guess I can disable my Google authenticator at any computer or device where I had logged in earlier and I'm still logged in there, right?

PS. I don't want to use Google Authenticator, I just want to secure my *DiscordApp* account,
because I sometimes use it with a free WiFi, and it is said that it is not safe, and I'm worried about that I lock out myself, so I want to know how I can get back before I try it. 😟
