In this demonstration, we show you how reverse engineering in Solid Edge ST10 allows you to expand your 3D design capabilities beyond the norm. In conjunction with powerful 3D design tools, Solid Edge delivers smart functionality to work with mesh, or triangle-based data. Bodies can be imported from other systems, digitally scanned or products of a generative design analysis. All of these come in as a mesh of triangles (or facets) and in many cases require further design modification.

The Solid Edge ST10 portfolio of products from Siemens brings every aspect of your product development to the next level. It gives you the very latest in next generation design technologies. Fully integrated flow analysis. The newest tools for 3D printing. More options for creating technical publications. Perfect control of design data at any scale. And a brand new way to collaborate on the cloud. Solid Edge ST10: shaping the future of product development.

How is performance of STL file viewing in comparison with ST9?
I work with large scans, full car bodies or interiors, while not reverse engineering the scan is used for mount references etc. I tried ST9 demo, panning and zooming was quite slow in comparison to other CAD solutions.
