Caution: It was brought to my attention that there have been reports that this trimmer sometimes burns the motor. I did not have that experience but there is a chance you will increase the likelihood of that happening if you double the string on the trimming head.
The adjustments to your trimming head will likely void your warranty too.

Simple little hack Simple Upgrade to Quadruple The Cutting Power
There is only one 1mm line coming out of the spool.
Let's make it two lines that come out of the spool and 2.4mm instead of 1mm.
That Quadruples 1 line of 1mm haha. Also we can use twirling trimmer line, which further increases cutting power yay!

Do this at your own risk. I tried this on the exact same model and it didn't improve performance at all - in fact, it lost performance.

1. The cord constantly breaks at the metal disk where the hole is drilled. This is because you don't have a smoothly rounded surface like you have with metal eyelet on the other side. The cord constantly breaking results in using the cord up a lot faster.

2. The cord constantly jams on the spool. The fast rotation of the head causes the cord to tighten around the spool. When you have two windings, you have double the tightening effect and it causes the cord to constantly jam. On most occasions when this happened, I had to use pliers to unjam the cord because it was so tight that I couldn't pull it out of the spool by hand.

3. Two cords results in higher resistance and therefore doing this actually slows the head speed.

4. These motors simply don't have the torque to properly support a dual cord head. When you're cutting, the head slows because of the resistance of the cord striking the grass. With two cords, this effect is doubled. When I used the two cord spool, it took much longer to get through the grass. I ended up putting the single spool back on and everything was much more reliable and cutting was much faster. I've stayed with the original single cord spool ever since without any problems.

5. Most importantly, a modification like this will likely void the warranty. Don't forget that the warranty is 5 years - that's not something you want to risk losing.

The Ozito cord is 2mm, not 1mm. Stepping up to 2.4mm might make a difference in regard to how long the cord lasts, but like anything else, that depends on the quality of the cord itself.
