Words cannot fully express how much I need the cold and dark of winter. The stove cooked meals, the smell of wood smoke. The decompression of being cozy. I think everyone is more kind because of the vulnerability we feel.

We are traveling to Sweden, Denmark and Norway for the entire month of December and are purposely spending the last 2 weeks of the trip in northern Norway so that we can experience Polar Night (and hopefully some good Northern Lights, too).
