I mostly align with you regarding this topic with the exception that a church must be apolitical. Most of the Bible, including many instances in the New Testament, revolves around kings and rulers. Mosaic law was a governing document covering even some of the smallest details. Priests often played a role of judges amongst the people they had to oversee. Even in the New Testament, Apostle Paul spoke to kings without refrain. Although I do agree with you that revolt and especially violence is not the way for Christians to seek favorable policies, I believe that Christians have every right and opportunity to be involved in politics, run for offices, etc. and unapologetically promote Christian-friendly policies. On the other hand, this country was first established as a result of revolution. Many Founding Fathers were convinced that military action was necessary while being devout Christians themselves. And, as a Ukrainian American, I fervently believe that Ukrainians have every right to defend themselves against an aggressor using deadly force. I believe that using force in self defense is justified to protect lives. I don't condone promoting such evil ideologies as marxism or nazism. I also think that there is a great difference between nazism and nationalism. Nazism promotes dominance of a "superior" nation using violent takeover of territories and resources while denigrating other nationalities. Nationalism promotes mostly economic advantages in favor of one's nation for the betterment of the living standard as the first priority over helping other nations. Although I appreciate all that the United States has done to help the struggle for survival of Ukrainians as a nation, I fully acknowledge that the West is under no obligation to do so. There is no doubt in my mind that the imperialistic aspirations of RF would not stop with overtaking Ukraine. That's why the assistance to help Ukrainians in this struggle is justified. In many ways, russcist (russian fascist) armed forces act much like nazis of the third reich. Similar to this, I also believe that our assistance to Israel in the fight for their survival against the genocidal ideology of Iran and their proxies is well justified.

Good one, Pastor Douggles. But what about the issue of abortion. Do Christians have an obligation to protest and be engaged in activism?
