Every now and then you have to count your lucky stars and this month it was one of those occasions for us. When you target one the most highly respected, successful and passionate carp anglers in British history for your next film, you can only hope and pray that they agree, especially when they spend so little time anywhere near other anglers, let alone the so-called limelight!
So when Simon Bater agreed to join us for a few days we were truly humbled, he's a hell of a character, a truly nice guy and a natural in front of the camera, not to mention his carp-catching skills, and we feel it's made for a lovely film!

Elliott checks in with the very first 'bumper' episode of The Cypographer Diary, LIVE. Detailing his love for winter fishing, why he does it, how he does it and what exactly has happened during his latest campaign. This insight into his fishing is not only plentiful in the way of carp but there's live action, with fish caught from right in the margins, and then from under the ice!
