I had a 10 inch Bazooka back in 1994. It was behind the passenger seat of my 1994 Mazda B2200 single cab truck. It thumped hard!

I had my Bazooka in my cars in the 90’s. That same Bazooka is still going strong in my 18 year old son’s car.

Are we gonna ignore how insane the stick placement in this car is?

SAS Bazooka is the original Bass Tube started in the 80's. I had a couple set-ups.
In the 90's I had 2 6 Bazooka's on a 140w Alpine V12 series amp and a Alpine head unit in a minivan and I was setting off car alarms and couldn't see out of the rear view.
Second setup was in my Audi 5000, I had 4 Bass Tubes with replacement subs 3 10" Rockford Fosgate subs and one 10" Lanzar sub on a Rockford Fosgate 30/30 amp which was ridiculous.
I put my nephew on it and he had 3 Bass tubes with 10" Rockford Fosgate P3's on 500w Rockford amp

An spl meter reading would really give us sound guys a true sense of the performance when you give this box and sound/performance reviews.

When I was a young man trying to hook up home speakers in our big ol sedans, a met a guy that had 6 x6” bazooka tubes stacked 3 high and opposing each other behind the seat of a single cab s10. To this day, I’ve never witnessed anything like the sound those things put out. I didn’t think it was possible to get that kind of bass from 6” tubes.

Not sure what he was using for power but that was the first time my hat moved and voice shook in a car from bass.

In 1998, I had a single 10" MTX Audio bandpass box that I got from Circuit City in the back of my extended cab S-10. I used to get asked all the time if I had two 12s. Everyone was always surprised when they saw it was just a single 10. Man, that thing bumped so hard lol. Good ol days 😌

Man, I used to sell the passive JBL tubes at Circuit City in the early 90's! They look exactly the same now as then!! :)

Haha, I remember seeing these in the 1994 crutchfield catalogs!!! I dreamed about owning a bass tube, Blaupunkt tape player, and a sweet pair of 6 x9’s in the rear window!

ALL my speakers are in tubes. (Subwoofers, woofers and midranges)
Tube can be lightweight, and super solid and don't need much bracing due to the inherent nature of a circle.
My 18" subwoofer is in a Tube-based T-line tuned to about 17hz.
Boxes are heavy and bulky and for a daily driver not really that smart. For an SPL vehicle.. Boxes are fine but if I had an SPL vehicle.. It would still be all tube baby!

JBL partybox should have those inputs where we can plug it and use it as subwoofer then unplug and use it as portable bluetooth speaker. Like the JBL bass pro go.

Nice! The Bazooka's were so effective. Back then we have no super powerful amps. I had a JBL 10" in a sedan and by lowering the center rear seat it created an awesome, clean deep bass.

Makes sense for them to bring these back. Most portable speakers with passive radiators are circular like my JBL Charge 5. Id love this because im not into blowing the windows out. I used to be, but now i just like some solid clear hi quality audio.

It’s a good look especially in cars with NOS, METH, etc, in the trunk, tube vibes

Had 12" rectangle shaped bass "tube" no roll, in my 97 maxima SE with the stock bose system. Sounded great, loved that car. Would open the ski hole in the arm rest area to let it breath even more...

I have had several. I have also built my own out of schedule 40/80 pvc with fantastic results. Have also built a few t-line systems out of pvc tubing, and house building tubing.
