Heart-stopping moment skier falls into glacier crevasse

A skier is lucky to be alive after falling into a crevasse in the French Alps.
A video shared by Instagram user @lespowtos shows the moment the skier realizes he’s about to fall into a deceptive circle of snow that crumbles into a crevasse.
The skier continues sliding for several feet before coming to a stop along the wall. The hole below him continues deeper into darkness.
In the comments, the skier describes making it out with crampons, or ice cleats, and a small piece of rope from his friends.
