Gobekli Tepi is by far the oldest structure uncovered so far on this site. Between 9500 and 8000 BCE. Super cool and enormous

I'm surprised there was no mention of Skara Brae in Scotland. It's truly awe inspiring standing in a living area that's older than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid of Giza.

The Roman collosseim is one of the oldest that I have been inside of. I have been to a number of those in Italy
--almost 20 years ago.

Not old compared to anything on this list but the oldest thing I have visited is the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde in Colorado. They are amazing.

We lived in Arizona when I was a child. 1960 we took a really long vacation and hit as many ruins as we (well, as mother) could find. I remember Montezuma's Castle, Montezuma's Well and Walnut Canyon. We crawled over some of them. That is discouraged now. At Canyon de Chelly people have lived there for over 5, 000 years. Don't remember if we went there or not. Closer to home, we visited Yuma Territorial Prison many times. Built in 1876.

Still would love to see some of these old cities totally restored or copied exactly and live and work just like they did.

I live in the interior of the eastern side of the North American continent, so "old" here is pretty recent compared to the Atlantic coast. But the Talbott Tavern restaurant in Bardstown, Ky. has been continuously used since 1779. That is _old_ for this region. Originally a stage coach stop for Virginia's westward expansion after the Revolutionary War, the Talbott Tavern has been called the oldest continuously used building between the east coast and New Mexico. It has some legendary menu items and it is replete with historic displays.

Think about it, if some of our buildings survive as long, they'll be joining the list.
Some of oldest buildings I've ever been in are unfortunately ruins, two Roman Amphitheatres, two medieval abbeys and several medieval castles, but I have been to several surviving medieval castles and cathedrals which are very well known.
I live in the UK. I am hoping to visit some of the prehistoric places in the UK, one day, which are structures rather than buildings.
My own house isn't that ancient, for a British house, but it was built in the late 1920s and unlike many of my neighbours, I have more of its period features, both flooring, doors, windows and some fitments including two origin fireplace surrounds. Personally, however old a period home is, I think it's much to renovate it, mending anything that needs it, rather than modernising, ruining its design features.
I'm from London, where we have Roman ruins in parts of the City of London, The Tower Of London and Westminster Hall, Westminster Abbey and other bits of medieval architecture.
