Deliveryman gunned down during attempted robbery in NYC park

Police are searching for the man who fatally shot a deliveryman during an attempted robbery in East Harlem.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Monday inside of the Poor Richards Playground, located at East 107th Street and Third Avenue.

These restaurants don’t allow you to sit down while you wait either...hard to find a safe spot to take a break.

For Uber, Doordash and Postmates couriers in NYC I recommend not working in Harlem at night. It’s very risky. In one night I saw a man and woman attack another man, ppl running from police and I heard gunshots ring out. Pick a different area to work.

Some general advice I would give:

-Think about the time and location you work carefully.

-Don’t take breaks in sketchy areas.

-Stay alert with your eyes and ears.

-Don’t carry large amounts of cash.

-Give up any items that the robbers ask for. Possessions aren’t worth losing your life for.

It's easy to ask why didn't he give up the bike, and that it's not worth dying for. People fail to recognize that being poor affects the thought process too. Unfortunately at that moment, the bike wasn't just a bike, it was probably something that he had saved up for and it was his livelihood. Sad indeed.... =(

this poor guy, Truly an atrocious tradgedy. Nyc needs to get their crime in order. Every30 mins im hearing these terrible acts of violence happening.
