Why is inductance not considered (-1/WC)

Hi Sir, if i = sin(wt), the X answer would be X= -s/c, not tally with i = cos(wt), The different btwn Sin and Cos just phase shift of 90 deg. or pi/2 .. Could you please explain on this .. TQ
