Union Budget 2024: FM Nirmala Sitharaman's Big Announcement On Education, Reduces Interest On Loan
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the 1st budget of the 3rd consecutive Modi-led govt
Budget for FY25 to provide Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education and employment and skill. 5 schemes and initiatives will facilitate employment, skilling, and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth over 5 years with a central outlay of Rs 2 lakh crores. Furthermore, the finance minister announced a cut of 3% on education loan interest. Notably, Sitharaman also makes history as the first finance minister to present seven consecutive budget speeches. NDA government came back to power for the third time, but the BJP fell short of magic number 272 on its own. It is widely expected that the NDA govt may table a budget to woo voters with an eye on the 2029 assembly polls 2029.
