Just to clear a few things up.
Just because ota first handed gives Short service commission doesn’t mean you can’t opt for permanent commission. After serving 9-10years as a commissioned officer you get three choices 1) extended service of 3-4 years 2)leave the army 3)opt for permanent commission

In OTA Chennai females and males get trained separately
As a defence analysis you should choose OTA only if you have a professional graduation otherwise it's hard to to get a good job
But OTA provides you a MBA degree from IIM
