If the Mother of Jesus Christ can appear to humans, as she did in the past in apparitions, recognized by the Catholic Church (Our Lady of Good Success, Notre Dame de la Salette, Our Lady of Lourdes, Fatima, Akita...), why would it not be possible that her son, Jesus Christ himself, was able to appear to the first apostles, as he later also did to so many saints? Where did the apostles got the courage from to change from cowards in martyrs? Why is a catholic priest explaining a modernistic interpretation of the resurrection of Christ by a protestant theologian and is he not countering it by critical thoughts from the side of traditional catholic theology. In my eyes this is not intellectually honest, neither is it wise or just. In our postmodern times we probably need the two interpretations, the traditional and the modern one, to be able to think about our faith in the most correct way possible. Let every disciple or pupil of Christ be confronted with both visions. Only this will create the roots of the resurrection of a strong christian faith in our postmodern times.
