I think you should try the nylon material instead of cotton material…it looks like what your using is a thick material like cotton…maybe that will help everyone else I see doing it uses a more silkier or softer material…maybe it will help idk I’m just guessing…other fellow supports don’t come for me I’m just tryna help

I’ve been doing this for years. I put on a satin scarf first then do this and it doesn’t give bone straight results but it’s better for me than wrapping.

You put the hair through the legs first and then pull the top over your hair. It will be smoother that way.

The nylons aren’t silky enough. Too rough. Look for a satin or silky textured stocking instead. There’s a product called the Samurai wrap that’s supposed to do just that. It’s about $50.

I used to wear stockings on my head when I was young and I didnt have a scarf and that material sucks all the moisture out of my hair. I dont wrap my hair, I just leave my hair long, pull it to the back, and put a scarf to hold it in place.

Edit: (after I finished this video) it’s also not to necessarily keep you from straightening your hair. It’s just to wrap it. Cause no one has time to do that circle wrapping from the 90’s my hair was always too long for that. I could never so this is why the Black Women created this. Legit just to wrap easier at night. Tikytoky couldn’t even get the main point right.

My daughter wanted her hair straightened for her Halloween costume, Pocahontas. She has long, thick, curly hair. We have only straightened her her one time before. The first time was 6 years ago. Now tell me why the heck, we straightened her hair. Which took two dang hours to straighten each separated part to minimize the passes. For her hair to go from laying flat to puff and curly. In less then 15 minutes max. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🫠my arms are worn out lol!! Safe to say her curls are here to stay and she will be going as curly headed cute Pocahontas.
