the Glass thing you found looks like a Moto_reader I believe they're called. They made really ornate ones for brass era luxury cars and it would sit on the radiator like a hood ornament. Basically a gauge to watch your radiator temp. Great finds and love the channel man!

That goes on the end of a staff that's used in the map room. When the sun shines through it one day a year, it lights up where the Well of Souls (and thus the Ark of the Covenant) is to be found. Great find!

that round piece looks a lot like the remains of a ‘boyce moto meter’, ,

Usually don’t double comment, but as the video goes on I’m more and more able to picture the person who lived on the property. Working on their beautiful luxury car but still upset that they lost one of their suspended buckles. Haha, it’s amazing how metal detecting can unravel history in such a way. Magical stuff, regardless of its lacking financial value.

Cool video Shane! Awesome house and finds. :) That tiny lead cap you found is the end of an old roofing nail. I found them around the old properties a lot.

yup thats exactly what it is and that is an awesome find! Used as a radiator cap and exposed like a hood ornament. The tube inside is a thermometer so you can see the radiator temp so you know shes not running hot or overheating. Im jealous Klesh!!!

LOL the dogs at the end, the two oval items are tarp eyelets, would normally be attached to the edging of a tarpaulin. Great hunt :)

Have to agree with everyone else, temperature gauge for an old car. Great video, really enjoyed. Thanks Shane.

the oval plate clasps were used on canvas to go over a fastener usually, Maybe off a bag or even an old bed cover on a vehicle. The canvas went in between the 2 parts to make like a grommet or eye on a tarp.

7:19 the old back from the shotgun cartridge is at least pre 1970 that's when they begun selling plastic cased cartridges as opposed to the old cardboard ones.
I can see the cardboard coming back because it's fully biodegradable whereas plastic ones get washed up on beaches all the time

6:06 i think that item might be a old radiator cap. they use to have a temp sensor on them. like a boyce company one

Okay, the glass "thing, " you found... "Looks to me like a radiator top, " from a very old car.
Some of those old model Ts or As, had that sorta thing, to let excess pressure out if it ran too hot.
I'm probably wrong, but off the top of my head, that's what it looked like to me...

5:47 It could be a hood ornament from a vehicle that you needed it to check the oil from outside? Maybe model T era? "Hood ornament oil gage". Try Ford.

Another awesome detect Shane. At least your finds are well balanced between great stuff and junk. Mine are Junk, junk and more junk, with a buck or two in between. The radiator cap was a brilliant find and probably worth a few bucks too. All in all a great days work :)

That glass thing is an old radiator cap from a car such as a model T, pretty cool . The water would bubble up and go up into the glass and if you didn't see water, you knew you were getting low .

Moto-meter I believe. They were used to read the radiator temperature on old model cars mostly hand cranks had them. Great video man.

I was just waiting for you to brush the dirt off of the relic and for “Coors” to appear 😂

Wow, surprised myself with this one. Saw that thing and thought "Hmm, that looks like an old temp gauge for a car radiator, but I doubt it is", then glanced through the comments and looks like I might have actually guessed right. Cool find :) Keep it up with the great content, you've been my motivation for "Treasure Hunting" in Wisconsin. Not much gold to be found up here, but I've had a blast pulling Red Tiger's Eye out of the rivers and panning everything out just for fun.

Hi Shane, if i were to guess, i say the round glass piece is a beer tap gauge with sight glass viewing tube.. Only a guess though...
