Faculty members of health professional education who distinguish themselves in their teaching roles often get promoted into leadership roles in curricula and programs. In addition to pedagogical skills and leadership skills, increased responsibilities in program leadership sometimes demands additional knowledge and skills with which the faculty members have little to no prior experience. One of the new responsibilities that faculty members may find themselves accountable for is the evaluation of an educational program.
