Refuse cbdc even if they are giving it out for free refuse to except it for payment and refuse to use it. Unless you want your children and grandchildren enslaved more than we were/are.

Cash is a must. When the power goes out a card is worthless. I found out after hurricane ian. Gas stations would only take cash. People were fist fighting over waiting for hrs to find out their cards were worthless

“Abandoning the gold-standard” was more like gov forced the country to give up its property. Which was a State-crime that resulted in worldwide instability

PS Communist ‘Vietnam 🇻🇳 remains a predominantly cash-based society, so most restaurants and shops (with the exception of large international chains) will not accept plastic. Instead, it's best to carry enough cash for everyday transactions. Despite the lack of card facilities in many establishments, ATMs are common in Vietnam’ - August 2023

Whenever I pay cash in the Netherlands, almost always the cashier has to cancel the cashless pay machine that they already activated by default. And young cashiers sometimes physically fumble with the coins because they're unused to using them.

I’m from Australia where cash is getting harder to use, but was in the southern US States recently (Mississippi, Louisiana), and noticed that cash is still king. Especially as a tourist because it’s used for tips. I walked around with wads of dollar bills and used mainly cash for everything, loved it.

Never forget the global Canadian truckers, apartheids, removal of free speech. Monero!

I keep hearing about Chase and Wells Fargo banks closing customers accounts and locking them out of their money. So being completely cashless and at the mercy of banks is scary.

Haven't used a credit card once in Mexico! Cash is alive and well in this country

A CBDC would require everyone to have an account with the government. This would lead to one centralized government. Which could lead to literal tyranny...

Extremely good content, especially the part of Sweden. Living there and seen all this happen. Most people are happy about going cashless and won't see the dangers.

Now the crime rate is high (see the news) and government bleeding money to every possible direction. It is almost not possible to find cash and even harder to use it, not only because many stores and businesses won't accept it thus the costs and rules around handling cash (can't even pay a townbus fee with cash anymore) but also the fact that you're looked upon as criminal if using cash. This last point is crazy but true. Directly you use cash your automatically labeled as someone hiding something.

You can't put cash into bank because they are required to have full control and knowledge of where money is coming from, thus it might label you as criminal and you get problems with your bank or accounts frozen.

Further each transaction above 10 000sek is checked and a question sent to banking app where you need to verify and proof that the money won't come from criminal actions.

Thus all stated above, and after almost git my account frozen I've began to take out cash and use it, coz it's still LEGAL payment method.😊

Every hacker in the world will be going after the CBDC network.

If you know of a cashless store, especially a supermarket...
I suggest going in... loading up a supermarket trolley... put it through the tills... And insist on paying in cash.
They've got two choices: Except your money - or they're gonna have to put the whole lot back on the shelves 😂
Make sure there's a lot of frozen stuff in there as well: so they've got to get on it pretty quick...
Get together with your friends: so there's a dozen or more of you with fully laden trolleys: one after the other.... then watch them panic 🤣🤣🤣

Here in The Netherlands you can still withdraw cash but depositing cash or using cash is considerably harder than before. There's many stores that won't accept it or that will make it very difficult to use it to pay for things like transportation and food.

Why don't the people of the world tell the central bankers to piss off ! 😊😊

I get a kick out of the storekeepers inability to do business without a network. With an inability to multiply and add, the tax is just too difficult to figure out.😅

By definition, a central bank digital currency does not keep your money in a bank, it is held by the government
