I got my BRZ 16 fix for free, its still under warranty and the parts salesman said the clips it's the upgraded ver in February 2019, so no drill and no headache 😁

Upper Diameter latch body options

Option 1: 1.25 inch (32mm)

Never knew the plastic clips were faulty like that .

I might have to do this as the clips from my bumper are broken (the one close to the headlight is broken) so I use a nut/bolt instead of a clip where the side marker so it holds lol.
But might just paint match it to the car (silver) so it doesn’t stick out so much. Rather have these than an ugly bumper sag.

They look so bad showing on the exterior of the bumper! Wow, hope no one takes this advice, must be an easier way and less of an eye sore!
