Okoye had every good reason to react like that. I mean the American just casually hit a head of state, and the head of her nation's royal family. If you wouldn't do that to the Queen of England, you certainly shouldn't feel comfortable doing it to the King of Wakanda. You tell him, General!

She was Black Panther for me. Her facial expressions alone made me see the movie 5 times. Folks always liken Danai to Viola Davis but she gives me a more reserved Grace Jones. Her confidence and certainty is alluring.

My favorite thing about T’Challa “chastising” the Dora Milaje in Black Panther and Civil War is that his mentality on the matter isn’t about making sure his Guards are respectful to people who are basically diplomats of ally factions (Agent Ross- CIA, Black Widow- Avengers) for diplomatic reasons so much as it’s like getting onto your cat for torturing a mouse before eating it. “Okoye, play nice!” T’Challa says after this scene. Translation- “Come on now, don’t play with your food!”

When Okoye and Ayo speak, you know they mean business. Florence Kasumba (Ayo) in Falcon and Winter Soldier is intimidating AF. They definitely send the message that Wakanda is the World's Superpower in the MCU, not the US. lol
