🚫 Return array must be on the right of the lookup array.😡

👍XLOOKUP addresses this issue so the return array can be on the left or right of the lookup array.

🚫The column with the desired result is designated by a column index value. If you want VLOOKUP to return data from the 2nd column, you need to type 2. But what if you insert a column in between? Your formula would not return the expected result anymore.

👍XLOOKUP addresses this issue, so only the return column needs to be specified instead of a column index value. If a new column was inserted in between, Excel would adjust for the change automatically.

🚫VLOOKUP is much slower to run and is not as optimized as XLOOKUP.

👍XLOOKUP replaces the functionalities of VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH. So stop using those lookup functions and stick with XLOOKUP!
