Why Ukrainians will be materialistic

I looked on the Ukrainian dating site that Olga links to in her videos. I saw quite a few of the girls saying their dream is to live near the water and to travel to places like the Maldives aka "I want to meet a wealthy man".

i have many friends that came here after the power plant blew up. older folks born 1930-1960's . a lot of these friends spend their days inside and never speak. well some vodka and some years and speaking comes out. such a shame what has happened in ussr russia Ukraine. some of the hardest workers

I think you have a lot of things confused. True there is old money in North America however only the 1% of Americans and I believe Canadians have it. The middle class in North America is shrinking most heading into poverty and very very few into upper middle class or what is considered wealthy in world standards. Mostly due to inflation and reckless government spending. However that being said someone who is overly materialistic isn't very attractive nor desirable much like what I said in your last short you did.

I completely agree. I have often heard people saying that "women from Est" are only seeing men as bankomat and seek for money. In reality it's very simple: when you feel the loss, when you have no access to items and goods as the others, you start to crave to be wealthy and own beautiful dresses, cars, house. It's perfectly normal and we would be the same in their position.

You're quite right. Life has been much harder in UA. Quality life in Europe started after WW2 in particular because of the Marshall plan to rebuild Europe, the 40s and 50s baby boomers, and above all, cheap energy. Energy = economy. Europe faces high energy prices and an aging population. Not an ideal mix for a careless future.

In reality past 2 generation starting from 1985. UKRAINIAN teenagers has travel worldwide compare to American women. So this is not true after 1985. On the other hands American women after 1985 kept getting poor. Paying too much taxes and can't even afford an apartment. I want to see how much enforcing of taxes get implemented in coming 10 years. I don't think anything will change. America should also remove taxes completely.

Can you also do an investigative feed on these pay per letter dating sites, in particular “LookBride”.
Find some girls that belong to these sites and get them”low-down” in the authenticity of the operation. That would be so helpful and eye opening to hear it from a “real” Ukrainian!

Olga, you are making a big mistake with these video clips about materialism and Ukrainian people, especially the women. You are making confusing generalizations and making Ukrainians look really bad. I recommend that you stop it and delete these video clips.

I think materialism comes in quite different flavours.

You cannot build a strong nation if the society consists solely of pure egoistic citizens.

From the European point of view a society can only blossom if theirs social security if the wealth fare systems work well.

In Europe we pay much higher taxes as e. g. in the United States.

Just think of the many orphans and the many heroes which return as disabled people.

Ukrainians have to decide if they want the American or the European way of life.

Some of the Ukrainian women in my town are working hard and donating a lot of money to the victory of Ukraine. They are definitely not very materialistic.
