My best buddy had a C64 when we were teenagers. Paradroid was a fantastic game.

That basic programming brings back some high school memories for me, Fran, playing on my 'computer lab's' Apple IIe's!

Came for the C64 goodness, stayed for the Casio SK-1 Beats!

Best part of 80s home computer programming is spontaneity: Flip the power switch on and in two seconds you're entering code. Even with today's PC clock speeds at 1000x faster, bootup and program launch times are a joke compared to the old way.

Fran writing code for what we didn't know that we needed; Self Playing Pong.

Oh yes, the C64c, got one sat just a few feet away from me, after having one in my teen years, currently fitted up with a Tapuino (x-spec version) Tape emulator, and a Power Play Cruiser joystick.

My main bag, is several of the UK style slot games, Arkanoid (Yes, the Debbie-s cheat works!) Uridium, and the well loved Paradroid.

Koodoos for owning a 1702 monitor with the front controls lid intact. Most of these seen now have it broken off and lost.

The 8 bit guy recently turned the code into one line.

In college, we used my neighbor's Commodore 1702 monitor as an output for his VCR, since it had front video and sound inputs. Much cleaner picture than any other TV we had, since they all needed a coax converter. We ran the sound through his stereo.

I had a commodore 16 when I was 10 or 11. It connected to the television antenna screws and had a cassette tape for storage.

You know when you are a geek and you see one line of code while making a cup of tea and watching a video out of one eye and think "I bet Fran is going to bounce a ball around the screen"

Oh hey I wrote something like that when I got my C64 a couple months back, except instead of a little ball, it was the word "COOLNESS" with cycling letter colors. I even made it mirror when it'd bounce off walls. It was fun

I had a Commodore 128, but used it mostly in C64 mode. I remember my dad had a Vic20.

I remember playing on my brother's c64 when it was a brand new christmas present.

I had so much Commodore 64 stuff.
I’d collected over the past 30 years.
Sold it all because I don’t have a house?
Now renting, almost homeless.
I still miss my C64 😢

Reminds me of the little programs on the Beagle Brothers ads… they would have something like this
