how did you end up here?

my story begins a few years ago, it was near dark, the cool sea breeze was blowing upon me.
I just wanted to end it all, but I can't. why is she here? I don't want her to see this.
lost in thought I heard her joyful voice once again, she said "thank you".
"for what?" I was confused.
"you're my first friend, now I can finally found a home, where I have friends, the endless journeys came to an end" she replied.
tears of happiness went down her face.
I'm the reason she is happy, I can't just break her dream one again.
years later, she is dead, just like everyone else. am I cursed? why my friends keep passing away?
I can't continue like that. somewhen I will end it all, at the same place she once prevented me from doing that.
until then.. I will continue spending my time in this world finding fleeting happiness in simple things, but she will never leave my heart.
she is the reason I was alive, and with her loss, I died too, I am just a body without meaning.
