Hi Dad, I received my new DJI Mini 2 SE yesterday and must report that it is a wonderful drone for the cost. My flight was perfect and the 2.7k video looks great on my large computer monitor. DJI never seems to disappoint, their drones almost always fly perfectly right out of the box. Any newbie pilot will be thrilled to own and operate the DJI Mini 2 SE.

Not worth buying the Mini 2 se in my opinion as the Mini 3 for $200.00 more gets you the DJI RC remote which you can use with Mavic 3's, Mini 3's, and Air 2s should you decide to upgrade in the future, along with any future models DJI decides to include for it. You also get 4k and can drop to 2.7k or 1080 if you wish. But here's the real deal killer: The DJI Mini 2's do not have Remote ID built in. In 3 months you will be required to be RID operational if accessories put you over the 250 gram weight or if registered for part 107 use, and a module at that time will probably set you back at least a $100.00 to $200.00 anyway. For an extra couple hundred, buy the Mini 3. DJI is selling it for $609.00 + tax, free shipping.

Hi dad.I live in the uk and have been enjoying your videos, very informative. The reason I write is, I have been bitten by the drone bug, and find it a great hobby.I am retired now and have bought myself the mini2se.I have only flown once or twice an d really over the moon with this great little drone.Can you suggest a, if possible, free video editing app to edit my footage .Looking forward to watching more of your videos Thanks Alun Swansea South Wales UK.

No RID needed? Limiting the market of a product?? Aparently dji doesn't realize how many low hour mini 2s are available 2nd hand for those that want to avoid new regs with a learner drone for rec. Nifty Lil drone but hamstrung on allowance 🫤 And wiith O2 they could just add the RID firmware to add potential customers..but they likely won't, though curiously they did with a dinosaur like the M1 Pro platinum. Nice video my man, but as usual Ole Deej is rather curious in their motivations. (Especially since they just dropped price of mini 3 to about the same with the same remote on their website)

Wondering what the need for this is ? for just a hundred bucks more you get the Mini 3. Also, if you have any Mini before this or ANY drone after this, the SE is pointless. Thanks for the great video anyway Chris.😎

Dad, Great video, thanks for sharing. One issue, I think your on screen messages posted some incorrect data. The Sub 250g not requiring registration and RID is only true if you are only using it for recreational use only. If you use a Sub 250g drone for business (including monetized YouTube) you still have to register it and need to get your Part 107 and be RID compliant. It is a snake eating its own tail issue because if you add the RID module you are now over 250g and need to register it anyway.

Great video. O just purchased this. Prior to this, I had the Holy Stone and I lost 3 of them. So I'm really scared to even fly this considering I spent $400 on it for the flymore package. And had to upgrade my phone to work with it. Thanks for the video
