Epson XP-255 Wireless / Wi-Fi WPS Setup

How to connect the Epson XP-255 to a wireless router using WPS.

1. Ensure the printer is switched on
2. When the printer is ready
3. Hold the "Wi-Fi" button for around 3 seconds
4. The Wi-Fi light will begin to flash
5. Find the "WPS" button on your router
6. Hold for around 3 seconds
7. After some time
8. The "Wi-Fi light should turn a solid green
9. Indicating the printer has connected

The instructions are similar for the following printers:

Epson XP-200, XP-205, XP-211, XP-215, XP-220, XP-225, XP-235, XP-243, XP-247, XP-257

Thank you so much for this upload. I have spent over 2 hours trying to setup the printer. No where does it tell you to press the WPS button on your router. It connected straight away after I followed your instructions so big Thank you from a very frustrated lady.

I don't use my XP-225 Printer for printing anymore, as it won't print clear pages.

But, I do, from time to time use the Scanner still and today had about 10 documents to scan.
When I turned it on, I couldn't understand why it wouldn't recognize the printer etc.

Then, it dawned on my that I'd not used it since I'd gotten a new WiFi Router, so did everything I could to get the router to connect to the printer, to no avail.

Then I came across this little gem of a video with simple step by step instructions.
I did have a kerfuffle finding the WiFi button on the Sky Router, which I mistook for a Power Button and which was very difficult to see.

But, once I'd sussed it, the Set Up was a total doddle.
So, thank you very much, once again.

You video is magic.
I tried a lot of things and nothing worked. I finally try a last one and come on YT to find a solution, I see this tutorial... and... I'ts exactly what I did. I look my printer... It's all good xD

Works well on XP-225 as well, many thanks 👍 if your WiFi router does not have a physical WPS button, there may well be a ‘virtual button’ if you log into it’s settings.

Have done that - no go. I have just changed Broadband provider and have a new hub. My printer worked fine before, but now it won't print from any of my devices that it printed from before. Any ideas

I use a direct USB connection to my computer, and it doesn't work!!

my printer is connected to the WiFi router, what do i need to do to connect the laptop to the printer? it works if plugged through USB but not remotely via WiFi ?

I have followed the instructions on your video and the printer won't connect. I have switched the router and the printer off also, , then followed your method. Still no connection . What else can I check please?

The wi-fi worked for several months on my new printer then suddenly stopped working. I have reinstalled the software twice still doesnt print wireless the printers was cheap but it's hardly been used but it's now out 9f Warranty. I will try again as using cables via a computer or laptop is time consuming.

I can print to it and i can make copies but I can't scan. The wife light is both green and orange. Please help.

I'm a web developper, I build my computers, I use linux daily.
The printer's manual didn't tell it was possible, nor the website.
I spent HOURS cursing at my printer to JUST F***ING CONNECT every time I moved appartment.

Won't connect! All it does is ask for a wifi password when I try the wifi method.
I even printed out the factory settings print and everything on there is 'unchecked' no mention of wifi passwords etc.
This printer used to work fine, connected fine wirelelssly. But now there's some BS killswitch from Epson?
EDIT. Fixed but had to get a usb connection to do it.
