Proper press tool £1200-1500 and fittings 3x the cost of thinks not ! Has its place, but what was wrong with compression fittings ? File out the centre piece and voila, slip fittings, able to be used with water ?

I'll tell you what I just got a press and I love it but there are some spots I just can't reach, I got the M 18 for logic

Those plastic wrappers around every press joint are indicator strips and SHOULD be removed after compression done. To indicate, that joint is done.
