Very nice visual description. OK, let us give it a shot. If the attached plow with a draft control lever set at a certain draft or resistence (or certain depth) in the hydraulic system of the tractor, meets with a higher draft, resistence or deeper depth, it pivots the plow tilting it upwards, pushing on that top link which pushes the rod inwards, as shown in the video. The inward movement of the rod tells the hydraulic that the depth or the resistence is more than required and it commands the two lower arms attached to the implement (only partially shown in the video) to lift up the plough slightly thereby correcting the depth of plough or overcoming that temporary resistence. If it was only resistence due to some entangled plant root it will go deeper after disentangling the root.

anybody wondering how it works, its rod that pushes a valve . a few rods levers springs and things to but in essence rod push valve open or rod release vale, depends how rods feeling

Hmmm ! I think you've missed the point of SHOWING the action of Push-Pull of the toplink and no verbal commentary. I do know how it works - but feel it isn't completely obvious - hence no comments till now ? !! :-) IMHO - funny though, for all the waffle on Youtube about toplinks no one has done a really good demonstration of and comparison of top-link v Lower Link sensing. Go on! give it another Go ! thanks for showing
