This is quite the high bar.
I can't wait for the next few months when the open source community breaks through it.

My Dad was a commercial artist and graphic designer in the 1970s to 1980s. This system does in five seconds (with multiple versions at nearly no cost) what took him a week (for only one version and up to several hundred 1970s to 1980s dollars)! His entire business model in 1975 to 1985 is completely obsolete in 2025.

I don’t understand why techbros are so gleeful about artists specifically “becoming obsolete”. Art has never been something that’s only the talented ones can do, you don’t need a machine to do this for you, just a lot of passion and dedication. Most artists barely make enough money to pay their bills, yet techbros treat them like some entitled bourgeois who shit money. Your job, whatever that is, not more important than arts (or except for doctors and other people who save lives). Your livelihood isn’t more important. You yourself aren’t more important than other people.

Man i cannot imagine being an aspiring artist learning drawing or painting in the current day and age. It has to be so depressing... anyone can now do with the press of a button what takes an artist 10 years to learn

Personally I'm not worried about artist losing their jobs. I'm actually optimistic AI will make "handmade" art more valuable. I'm more worried about the people who will use this technology to spread false information and lies.

The "learn to code, bro." mantra is changing to "learn to homesteading" XD

Sorry I couldn't resist, I just love the spot the difference games:

1.- hair of the dog, food plate, cloud, collar
2.- cat awake, pillow, leaves, mountains in the painting
3.- farmer, fence, chicken-cow, tree's trunk in bg
4.- 3 white flowers, small window, bushes in front of the house, shape of the window, (5th: cloud over the chimney)

Just saying, I haven't lost a single client as an artist. AI images are not exactly art and even to use AI correctly in industry jobs you need to be an artist. No one will hire a random AI prompter to work at Disney or any studio really

I just want to point out that although you didnt spot it, the Japan images were like 90% wrong. Not just a duplicated text but almost all landmarks were in the wrong area completely and it also didnt associated landmarks with the right city. Like Osaka castle in Hiroshima and so on. Its impressive but geographically it still got ways to go.

This is the point where I officially don't like AI.

Yeah, yeah whatever. I’m a designer and every time I go out and try to generate anything new or even remotely useful for my job, it takes much more time to fix the actual image than to just make it from scratch. With my experience, I can create 4-5 accurate, high quality designs in a day that match what my client / company needs, as opposed to 40-50 trash variants that all they’ll do is waste my valuable client’s time. I don’t know if the people so eager to “replace” us with these technologies see it or even understand it in that way.

In terms of art, there’s no way this will ever replace drawing. When new technology enters the picture, it doesn’t make the previous artcraft obsolete. Far from it. Hand made clothes, furniture, etc is almost 3 or more times as expensive than clothes made in a factory. Oil paintings, sculpture, jewelry, etc are literally luxury items nowadays with massive price tags. AI will devalue itself on its own. I haven’t met a single person, in real life, who would actually want to buy a painting once they know it was made with AI.

Artists, we have to start seeing it in this way. This is a new beginning. Don’t believe in all this doom and gloom. Actually look at what these AI’s are spitting out. We can do WAY better than what any of these machines ever will. No matter how perfect they are at drawing hands, they’ll always lack the human understanding & empathy required to create true emotion.
