Love it. I had lunch with a stranger in the mall yesterday. A lovely 95 woman. It cheered me up. (In my 50s and had a tough day). Helping others when you're down ends up helping you.

I am every one of those callers. I'm still trying to figure it out after years and years of improving my life only to be back at square one. Grief is in the mix also at this time. It is a lot to juggle.

I’m a stay at home mother of three. Since it became a thing for people to work from home my husband went from 5 days per week at the office to an average of two. He has three scheduled days but most weeks will only manage two. Its been really bad for my mental & physical health because my work never really stops and the few times no one is at home have become more and more rare. Im an introvert & really need some quiet time alone to recover from the constant demands of my family and never ending food prep, clean up, house work, laundry, taxi service. My husband enjoys taking it easy at home but I wish so much he would head back to the office as I feel burnt out.

I am great at approaching people when I am out and about. Mutual heart to heart interaction … ❤❤

Yes! I intentionally make plans to get out and do something with others. I work from home and is very comfortable by myself and at home. But….you have to make an effort to get out of your comfort zone and go out. I always feel better afterwards

Love this!! Great reminder for myself to make changes to get my happy back. I always check in on people to make sure they are in a good place and doing well and now I’m struggling and no one ever checks in on me this was a wake up call on who makes me feel warm and fuzzy and who sucks all my energy/ 1 sided friendships..:who is my true tribe and who needs to hit the road….it was an eye opener for me. I will not give anyone my energy anymore who isn’t deserving of it😊. It’s what I want 1st, my happy comes 1st not people pleasing ANYMORE!!!

Happiness is a choice, we all have events happen to us, but we get to choose how we respond to them. Great podcast, keep it up Mel!

The mason jar on the beautiful wood table is stressing me out. 😂 Great podcast. I will say, as a full time remote worker, you can find social interaction by scheduling events with others, going to the gym, regular errands, joining social groups, clubs, and activities. It’s important that we don’t perpetuate this fallacy that you can only find social engagement in a physical office. Remote work is a great option for many. ❤ I’m also a Vermonter that lives in a rural area so I know it takes work. 😉

Dearest Mel,
I SO appreciate you, your work, your voice, always keeping it so real and reaching out to many. You have certainly had and continue to inspire me, motivate me and and validate all of us on our very human journeys. Your shared personal journeys speak directly to many of mine.
Thank you so very much ! ! !

Today pod is SO appreciated as I am sharing this particular wisdom to literally a couple handfuls of dear ones that popped into my heart and thoughts as you were both speaking ! I am not coda, yet my dear ones express their challenges to me, in the midst of our lives and today's show truly and especially can perhaps influence aspects of their lives.
ODE to the ripple effect and thank you both for such a rich conversation !

Gratitude from a distant mountain soul sister, on a blue bird snowy morning in Tahoe☀️💛☀️

Wow, just wow! This part was made for me! Did I mention that I live 10 min walk away from Gulf of Mexico (white sand, crystal clear water). Last time I was on the beach….. 9 years ago 😳
