You have to realize this is likely a tech demo to demonstrate the speed small robotic motors are able to muster these days. They are likely not going to sell the dancing robots, but the tech that went into them. And if you want to sell, you have to get some attention yes?

That isn't the reason as to why robots can't jump. It is simply because robots just aren't built to jump, nor are they able to rebalance themselves whilst they do it (most likely).

Calm down. They're trying to show the capabilities of the robot in a fun way, rather than having a person commentate over the robot while it proceeds to partake in menial tasks.
