Was only thinking to myself the other day that it had been a while since seeing one of your videos Kyle…..magnificent restoration of the handles. I have to agree with you regarding what is important in life is not always determined by monetary value. Thankyou for sharing.

You're not giving much love to the solar eclipse...people in the Mid-west were having a party!
Take care Kyle

Sometimes tools are what you make of them, not what they're made from. Heres a prime example.

Very nice restoration. Those knives are Chinese and not too bad a quality. The steel is better than the handles. I have a couple of jobs for you and old chef knife renovation of a knife I use all the time and a handle and sheath job from a heated treated blank made by my knife making mentor, now deceased.

Watching the nut on your belt sander backing itself out while you worked away there at 12:16 was stressing me out!

Where's the magnetic chuck and TRUE surface grinder?

Indeed, very inexpensive, yet functional, knives offered by several brands, such as Chicago Cutlery. I disagree with Kyle on this restore, as an heirloom is meant to be passed on for use to acquire additional memories. Spending more money to restore an item, beyond its original cost, is simply wasted effort to bottle up memories into the stuff acquired that collects dust as a means to sit around reliving times past.

Thumbnail looks like you've chopped off a couple of fingers.
