Aadi Perukku – the festival that celebrates and ushers in the planting season in Tamil Nadu, – was celebrated at Isha Home School on 3rd August in true traditional spirit.
The event was marked by creating their own Mulaipari from nutrient-rich soil. Mulaipari refers to the traditional earthen pot filled with sprouts of nine different grains, traditionally known as the Navadhanyam.
Later, the students submerged their Mulaipari in water, which is traditionally seen as a tribute to water’s life-sustaining properties.
