It is important to note that while the crown does not fundamentally play a role in the actual formation of laws it plays a crucial role in preventing Parliament from getting out of hand; offering insights and alternate perspectives to the PM (who, with every single PM, have stated they find chats with the monarch incredibly helpful).
In the event the PM decided to go haywire the monarch does constitutionally hold the power to remove the PM and in more severe cases entirely dissolve Parliament, though this is unbelievable unlikely to happen.

It is a shame about the Aristocracy as well, people removing a great many of their hereditary peers merely because they do not understand them.
The primary argument for their majority removal being that they "inherited their seats", as in being born into power. Which, as an argument on its own, sounds like a terrible idea.
However these are not random men from a random life getting the right to mend and change laws. These are people born into families that themselves have governed for a great part of many centuries, who socialise with others whom have also governed for generations, carrying unparalleled insights, going through the best education the UK has to offer, and then serving their country not for their own selfish gain, but for the people.

That alone puts them on par to be as qualified as PM's (not MP's as these may be anybody who is publicly pleasing). Additionally adding on that these men are nobles (not just because it's part of the title), acting and speaking in a manner commanding of respect NOT because they have power... but because they respect you.
That's all a noble is, an individual with highly preferable characteristics so embedded in the subconscious that it practically becomes second-nature to them.

Democracy seemed promising and whilst I'm against removing it wholly the current political landscape is filled with self-serving barbarians getting in through filtered lies and crafting legislation based on what will keep them in power as opposed to what is right.
Need I point out America? The current president of the most POWERFUL country on the planet can barely string together three sentences but has the nuclear codes.
Even our own PM is a compulsive liar (see his work record), a bully in his youth (see his school record), and manipulative man carrying little else but himself in mind.

If the Lords were so unqualified, howcome near to none of the previous legislation drafted and crafted with their aid has been changed or removed? More so than would have been expected otherwise? Why the consistent compliments from retiring PM's, preaching how useful and brilliant and essential they were in the formation of legislation and governance?

And yet we stand governed by a one-sided body, filled with friends sharing one view. And if they pass a law that is nothing but entirely in there favour who is there to answer to? The opposition? Oh no the insults! The public? Please. The lords? with their one year postponement ability?
It's ridiculous and needs reformation. We are blinded by the messages told to us and unthoughtful when it comes these things.
I embrace the life peers, a marvellous addition to the lords. However the Aristocracy is a treasure we carry great luck in having around to this day, the English version at least, many previous lords willingly dying in the world wars for the lives of people who arrogantly want them out.
Once gone in the modern environment there will be no way to re-breed people of such high quality. Yes there is a bad apple in every three dozen, but that is better than every apple being bad.

Vote and you get the same party called the Government party but this name is never used to give the vail of democracy. Labour, conservation and anything else is actually the same party.
