Excellent video... I'd add 'A Hen in the Wind' as well for it's depiction of domestic violence in 1940's Japan... definitely something that shook me, and a rare realistic depiction for it's time I'm sure. Also the mention of Millennium Actress and it's relation to Hara? Fantastic. Most people talk about Paprika or Perfect Blue when talking about Satoshi Kon, but Millennium Actress is truly special if you have any appreciation of Golden Age Japanese Cinema (50-60 Japanese Cinema)

Fantastic video. I really enjoyed it. My favourite Ozu film is Late Spring. I cried like a baby towards the end. My second favourite is Late Autumn but I love them all.

Wonderful video! Such a great tribute. I also love Tokyo Story and Late Spring but honestly you can’t go wrong with any Ozu film. He was a master! Would love to see you do this with Kurosawa or your other favorite directors. Cheers.
